A mini break

 Hi Guys

Its the summer holidays and as we aren't going abroad this year due to saving as much as possible for the extension, WHEN it finally begins, (don't ask! still not had the plans back yet) we thought a few trips here and there will be sufficient enough so Ethan felt like he had been away. My Mum and Dad had gone to Chapel St Leonards for a week so we decided to bombard them mid week for a few days (they knew we was coming lol)

When we arrived after a few "are we there yet" comments, we unpacked the car and had a lovely cuppa. My little sister had got a shout magazine which had got a free hair chalk in with it, so I thought I would have a cheeky go before we decided what we was going to do with the rest of the day.

results = ta daaaa

After we got sorted and finished our drinks we decided to have a walk down the sea front towards the boating lake, Abigail and Ethan ran down the beach most of the way (kids are way to fit lol) then when we go there we took them both on boats, Ethan went in with me and Abigail went in with Dean.

They were so difficult to turn, Ethan made this clear by crashing into every side possible (when I took over I didn't make it look much easier lol) Although Dean had to go and make himself look like a pro boat driver lol and Abigail wasn't to happy with the fact they didn't go as fast as speed boats lol

Dean and Abigail

That evening we decided all to go out for a meal to a nice little Italian!!! my goodness! the food was insane, I had a spaghetti and seafood dish, mussels and prawns, called a spaghetti marinara. Sorry there is no picture, it was that good I just got stuck in and forgot lol Ethan had pizza and Dean had a creamy chicken dish. However when it came to dessert, I decided to let slimming world take a back seat for the night and enjoy one!!! So I ordered the pancake!!! oh my days! little did I know it was the sie of a dustbin lid, I DID manage to get a photo of this as I was so shocked at how big it was lol

My dessert and I'm not going to lie, apart from my Mum and Dean trying it, I ate the lot! greedy piggy lol

Once we had paid the bill we took the kids to have a play in the amusements for an hour, Abigail wanted to go on a dance mat so I thought id go on with her to work that pancake off lol. Brings back so many memories as a child with my best friend going on these. We thought we were dance mat pro's lol

Action shots of us dancing our booty's off (wearing a jumpsuit and necklace both from very)

A quick go on the roundabout, these two faces brin gme so much happiness

Ethan then had a few games of air hockey with Abigail, I don't think I have heard or seen these to laugh so much

After a great time at the amusements we went back to the caravan, pyjamas on DVD time! Ethan was super tired so I took him to bed, didn't quite manage to get back up as I must of been super tired too lol, so Dean came and woke me up and told me to go get n my bed and get some sleep, of which I did and slept like a baby until 3am when Olivia thought it would be the best idea to be up for an hour. we eventually got back to sleep and didn't get up until 7:30 :)

Mum and I cooked everyone a full English breakfast Slimming World style before all getting ready to walk 2miles into Ingoldmells to catch the open top bus to Skegness for the day. Ethan was a little dubious at first as he thought the bus driver was going to fast, but soon got used to it and loved the fact there was no roof on this bus lol

Abigail and Ethan on the bus.

Just before we was about to get off Abigail had a bit of good luck, A little bird put its mark on her top!!! bless her. Luckily we have baby wipes at hand to come to the rescue.

Skegness happens and the first stop was this photo lol

My surprise

Hey Everyone...

Hope your all well.

I wanted to share this surprise night my husband had planned for me, We don't get out together very often, we are usually accompanied by I awesome children, but sometimes it is just nice to have some adult time :D

So my husband planned a surprise evening for me, to which I was so excited, (I don't usually like surprises lol but I suppose I can make exceptions hehe) My Mum had agreed to have Ethan and Olivia for us. I had to be ready at 5:30 and to wear casual dressy! That's all I know lol

So this is us just leaving the house, I am wearing a Next top and my necklace is from Very (I'm in love with my necklace) Deans shirt is also from Next.

So we headed out in the car, We got to Sheffield :) where all my surprises (yep more than one, he's sneaky) took place. I've just got to tell you this because I about died and went to heaven when this happened.

We got to Sheffield and Dean found this first car park, we goes in and it give you a token, as he collected the token I noticed for how long we would be in their in would cost us just short of £10, now to me that was mega steep, so we turned around and went straight back out, just around the corner from this car park we found another, £4.00 to park here, so much more reasonable, So I started to breathe again lol.

Anyway back to the night lol, We nipped to this little pub for a drink before heading to the first surprise, The pub was cool, (cant remember what it was called sorry) however it did remind me so much of when myself and Dean were student in Derby. Made me miss city life an awful lot.

Having a cheeky drink before the 1st part of the surprise.

Once we had finished our drinks we literally went over the road to a restaurant, which was called BB's Italian Restaurant. If any of you are in Sheffield and haven't already you need to check this place out, the food is insane and the place is so welcoming, its like sitting in an Italians family kitchen, so lovely.

I had the Muscles for starter, then a tomato based pasta with bacon for main, forgot to take a picture of my main, sorry! Dean had Calamari for starter and Pizza for main, the food was so good.

A couple of photos of us enjoying some us time in the restaurant.

After we had finished, it wasn't quite time for the next surprise so we went for a little stroll and got a few more picture of us just being together :D

We walked back to the car and drove to my next surprise. THE LEADMILL. Dean handed me an envelope that said, 'Date Night' on the front, I opened it and there was two tickets to see, the number 1 Oasis tribute band, I was very excited!!! (I'm glad I took a pair of flats in the car so I could change my shoes before we went into the Leadmill, a heel would of been no good lol)

I love Oasis and only managed to ever see them once, so this was just so lovely and exciting :) This tribute band were amazing, so close to seeing the real thing. They played all my favourites and a may of had a bit of a husky voice from all the singing lol.

I had the best evening and couldn't thank my husband enough fordoing this for me. Love you Dean

Hope you enjoyed this little blog

SLIMMING WORLD AND I

Hey Everyone.

You really need to start telling me off, I have got so bad at not posting everyday or at least most days! I promise I am going to try and post more often. Now I have got my Samsung S5 (Blog on the new phone soon hehe) I think I should find it even easier blogging (blogging from it now woooop :D
Anyway.....

I wanted to share something that my life has been taken over by and changed for the absolute better. I want to share with you that in March I decided to take the plunge and start slimming world!! I have found it extremely beneficial for me and my family. To eat good wholesome food made from scratch :D and I am loving being THAT Wife and Mummy that can do this.

Like I said I started in March weighing in at 11st 8.5lb. previously weighing 12stone but lost the bit before myself (finding it hard though) but this size is big for my little self as I am only 5ft 2inches tall! (almost a hobbit!) I carry my weight around my bum and thighs! Urgh! Women troubles lol.

So this is my journey for you :D I wanted to change, I wanted to feel good about myself and most of all I wanted to be healthy for my family :D

So here you go my story in pictures

So as you can see my journey has been a successful one, I am so proud of myself and I hope I inspire others to do this if they previously felt like me. I am currently at 1stone 12.5lb loss. I 2.5lb to my first target but I think I am heading for another stone after that :D

NOT FORGETTING, I AM SUPER HAPPY AND FEELING GOOD ABOUT MYSELF, big achievement for me :D

thanks for reading, I will be updating my progress :D any questions please feel free to ask :D

love and kisses

More plaques

 Hi Everyone

Another reason for my absence is these plaques that I have been making, I made one for my own home and then got quite a few orders in for people that wanted one for their own home.

Take a look

This one was like the one I made for my own home, but with red FAMILY to go with the clients décor. Really happy with how these turn out :) what do you think?

Below have been a massive hit, had so many orders for this one I've not been able to keep up.

The Mr & Mrs Ellis one is mine for my bedroom, I love it so much :)

This was made for a friend for her friends wedding :) I just think because they are handmade they make such a nice gift, it makes it extra thoughtful as well as being personal to that person.

Wedding plaques so cute and personal :) I enjoy making these so much, what do we think of these ones?

And...Finally, I made a specific one for a client who wanted something for her Mum for Mothers day, so this one was so nice to make as it was so personal to them.

let me know what you think of it :)

These plaques are all the same as my previous blog I made about my plaque, so if your thinking about making one yourself, go back to my previous blog, aaaaand make sure you show me your creations :)

Speak soon

Something old to something new! (and a big FAT sorry for not blogging for aaaaages)

Hi Guys

One huge apology for not blogging for such a long time!!! I have been so busy being Mom and house wife and working on little projects, I've just not had time to think.
so SORRY everyone.

But....

over the next few days I have some cracking blogs coming your way.
With my first clothing and beauty haul blog (super excited for that one)

Aaaannyway!!! lets get cracking on this blog.

I won a piece of furniture from EBay. I got it at a really cheap price too, which I was super happy about as it was going to be the first big project I've done since starting to make plaques etc. So I didn't want something to expensive just in case I made a mess of it...

This is the item I won!! a lovely little bureau. In need of some tender loving care.

So I decided I would give it a new life. I had just purchased some Annie Sloan paint (which I am in love with by the way!) I painted the plaques with this (in my previous blog) but I couldn't get the trueness of the paint on such a little area, so this was the real test.

so I prepped the bureau by taking all the metal wear off like the hinges etc. and I painted the whole thing in Annie Sloan's French Linen, then when this had dried I went over the whole thing again with Annie Sloan's Old White (adding a bit of water to make it easier to paint with.)

Once I had done that, I let it dry then it was time to sand.
I sanded it all down to get the French shabby chic style. I was soooo pleased with the outcome,
Then with all projects I do with Annie Sloan paint I then finish off by clear waxing the item :)

I think it looks so nice and is just perfect for my hallway.

The finishing touches were some gorgeous grey knobs for the handles.

here take a look.... let me know what you think :)

Amy

Let me know what things you would like to see me blog about and I will do my best.
