More plaques

 Hi Everyone

Another reason for my absence is these plaques that I have been making, I made one for my own home and then got quite a few orders in for people that wanted one for their own home.

Take a look

This one was like the one I made for my own home, but with red FAMILY to go with the clients décor. Really happy with how these turn out :) what do you think?

Below have been a massive hit, had so many orders for this one I've not been able to keep up.

The Mr & Mrs Ellis one is mine for my bedroom, I love it so much :)

This was made for a friend for her friends wedding :) I just think because they are handmade they make such a nice gift, it makes it extra thoughtful as well as being personal to that person.

Wedding plaques so cute and personal :) I enjoy making these so much, what do we think of these ones?

And...Finally, I made a specific one for a client who wanted something for her Mum for Mothers day, so this one was so nice to make as it was so personal to them.

let me know what you think of it :)

These plaques are all the same as my previous blog I made about my plaque, so if your thinking about making one yourself, go back to my previous blog, aaaaand make sure you show me your creations :)

Something old to something new! (and a big FAT sorry for not blogging for aaaaages)

Hi Guys

One huge apology for not blogging for such a long time!!! I have been so busy being Mom and house wife and working on little projects, I've just not had time to think.
so SORRY everyone.

But....

over the next few days I have some cracking blogs coming your way.
With my first clothing and beauty haul blog (super excited for that one)

Aaaannyway!!! lets get cracking on this blog.

I won a piece of furniture from EBay. I got it at a really cheap price too, which I was super happy about as it was going to be the first big project I've done since starting to make plaques etc. So I didn't want something to expensive just in case I made a mess of it...

This is the item I won!! a lovely little bureau. In need of some tender loving care.

So I decided I would give it a new life. I had just purchased some Annie Sloan paint (which I am in love with by the way!) I painted the plaques with this (in my previous blog) but I couldn't get the trueness of the paint on such a little area, so this was the real test.

so I prepped the bureau by taking all the metal wear off like the hinges etc. and I painted the whole thing in Annie Sloan's French Linen, then when this had dried I went over the whole thing again with Annie Sloan's Old White (adding a bit of water to make it easier to paint with.)

Once I had done that, I let it dry then it was time to sand.
I sanded it all down to get the French shabby chic style. I was soooo pleased with the outcome,
Then with all projects I do with Annie Sloan paint I then finish off by clear waxing the item :)

I think it looks so nice and is just perfect for my hallway.

The finishing touches were some gorgeous grey knobs for the handles.

here take a look.... let me know what you think :)
